Raising Funds towards the First Full Time Royalty Institute Facility

Royal Legacy Month is a month-long fundraising initiative dedicated to supporting the Royalty Institute's pursuit of acquiring its first full time facility. This campaign aims to secure the necessary funds for this significant undertaking, enabling the institute to expand its impact and provide an even more enriching educational experience. We extend heartfelt appreciation to the owners for graciously offering this opportunity, recognizing their pivotal role in advancing the Royal Legacy. February 4th — Church Service w/ HEAL Church

Join us for a church service with HEAL Church and Pastor John E Richardson Senior. Youth Sunday is an interactive message, Led by Pastor Richardson and the HEAL Church family centered on the topics and subjects important to the youth today. Service starts at 11am in the conference room at 1000 Hampton Park Boulevard. No registration needed, come as you are.

February 10th - E Sports Tournament = Noon - 7pm - $20

We will host our first E Sports tournament as a part of Legacy month. E Sports is one of the fastest growing industries on the Globe. Integrating STEM principles with interactive, engaging and fun material, E Sports is going to be a staple of the Royalty Institute of Leadership and Innovation. Students will compete in Madden, NBA2K and Cyberwarriors on Both X Box and Playstation game consoles… Oh, and did we mention there would be a cash prize for the winner. Interested in competing? February 17th - Benefit Concert 6-11p - $20

The Royalty Benefit concert will be a night of good POSITIVE music for our community. We have grammy nominated artist Byron Cage Headlining a night of artists including Orlando Dixon from Disneys DCapella. Christian Rap artist J Mood and Poet/Rapper Extraordinaire Jastin Artist. This is going to be a night you don’t want to miss

February 19th - The Metcalf League - Black History Month Basketball Classic and Innovation Conference.

Students will take part in 3 separate innovation sessions before the tournament

10a-11a : A. Cyberwarriors - Justin Drummond

11a - 12p : B. Financial Literacy/Entrepreneurship -More Than Enough

12p - 1pm : C. Mental Health - Persevere and Win

After the innovation conference, the classic will commence… as the teams compete to see who is will win it all.

Please use information on flyer to register teams. There is no Entry Fee For Teams to enter or for youth to attend the Innovation Conference.

All Proceeds will go towards the acquisition of a full time Royalty Institute Facility

February 22nd - The Royalty Institute - Call-A-Thon

Join us in the Tubman room with a fully charged phone. We are calling everyone we can to garner support towards the First full time Royalty Institute Facility.

February 25th - Church Service(s) - Location TBD

We will attend the partner churches of the Royal Army, and thank them for supporting our initiative to create to open the first full time Royalty Institute Facility

February 25th - Afternoon - Clearing Out the Campus - Community Service Project

Since 2019, The Campus at 1000 Hampton Park Boulevard has been a safe haven for young men and women in the Prince Georges County community. Lets all come together for one final good bye, as we clear out the space and close the doors and have a great time reminiscing on the memories and the legacy of the campus. Students will be awarded community service hours for attending and assisting in the clean up effort.


Our Plan for our first full time facility:

A) School for Black Children based in leadership and innovation:

  1. Curriculum development focused on leadership principles and innovation.

  2. Recruitment of experienced educators with a passion for fostering leadership skills.

  3. Creation of mentorship programs connecting students with successful leaders.

  4. Integration of innovative teaching methods and technologies.

B) Summer camp introducing youth to leadership principles and innovative careers:

  1. Development of a comprehensive summer camp curriculum.

  2. Inviting guest speakers and professionals from various innovative fields.

  3. Hands-on workshops and projects to cultivate leadership skills.

  4. Exposure to diverse career paths through interactive sessions.

C) Weekly Mentoring opportunities for boys and girls in the community:

  1. Establishing a mentorship program with dedicated mentors.

  2. Regular one-on-one and group mentoring sessions.

  3. Focus on character development, goal-setting, and personal growth.

  4. Creating a supportive community network for mentees.

D) A community health clinic dedicated to the socio-emotional well-being of our community:

  1. Collaboration with healthcare professionals and organizations.

  2. Offering mental health services, counseling, and support groups.

  3. Educational workshops on emotional well-being and stress management.

  4. Outreach programs to raise awareness and reduce stigma surrounding mental health.

E) Other weekly programming initiatives in fields such as:

  1. Cybersecurity: Workshops, training sessions, and awareness programs.

  2. Financial literacy: Courses on budgeting, saving, and investment strategies.

  3. Information technology: Skill-building workshops and practical training.

  4. Audio Engineering: Hands-on sessions for aspiring audio engineers.

  5. Workforce development: Job readiness programs, resume-building workshops.

  6. Diverse programs: Addressing various community needs and interests.

These initiatives collectively aim to empower the community by fostering leadership skills, introducing innovative career paths, providing mentorship, promoting socio-emotional well-being, and offering diverse educational opportunities for personal and professional growth.’
